Lucent to deploy CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Network in Romania

Lucent Technologies announced it would deploy a CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network using 450 MHz spectrum in Romania. The network will provide data speeds of up to 2.4 Mb/s and accommodate advanced business applications such as video conferencing and video messaging.
Lucent also said it would provide its Flexent CDMA450 Modcell ES base stations and associated core network equipment to increase the capacity and coverage of the existing CDMA450 voice and data network based on CDMA2000 1X technology.
