Meru Networks lands $17 million in funding

Wireless LAN network developer Meru Networks announced it has secured $17 million in Series B funding, which the company said it would use to expand its operations to “support the growing customer base,” expand into new geographic areas and “continue to enhance product functionality” to address customer needs. The round was led by BlueStream Ventures, which was joined by new investor Sierra Ventures. Also contributing were seven firms that provided $13.7 million in initial funding.
