Nokia to deploy TETRA network in Kuwait

May 6, 2004 12:00 PM

Nokia Networks will deploy a TETRA radio system in the State of Kuwait, which will be used by police and other public-safety agencies. Atlas Communications, a value added reseller for Nokia that previously deployed TETRA systems in the region--in Dubai and Bahrain--will implement the deployment. Equipment deliveries will begin “early in the second half of 2004,” Nokia said, with the first phase of the system scheduled to be operational by the end of the year. The entire network is scheduled to be in operation by mid-2005
