Raven offers interoperability solution

Nov 19, 2009 11:57 AM, By Glenn Bischoff

Raven Electronics is offering the M4x single-blade communications system that uses digital signal-processing technology to allow disparate communications devices to communicate with each other. Up to eight devices — which include portable radios, wireline telephones, and alarm-and-control equipment — can be connected to the M4x via USB ports. The solution’s embedded software also lets users create “bridging groups” to enable conference calls. Upcoming modules will enable connection to VoIP devices and provide T1/E1 access. An experienced engineer can configure the system in about 10 minutes, according to the company.
