Jan 20, 2004 12:00 PM
Colubris Networks today introduced the CN 1250 and CN 1220 enterprise-class wireless LAN access devices that allow users to deliver secure wireless access without requiring WLAN switches or a separate overlay network. The CN 1250 integrates a WLAN access point with an embedded VPN server to deliver highly secure Wi-Fi access to mobile users, the company said. It also lets enterprise users roam seamlessly between CN 1250 access devices connected to different IP subnets, without requiring additional LAN switching hardware. The CN 1220 is designed for enterprises that have selected Wi-Fi protected access (WPA) and migration to the 802.11i standard for security. It offers all of the advanced security features of the CN1250 except the VPN server, the company said.
