First commercial WiMAX services launched in Australia

Airspan Networks, a provider of WiMAX and Wi-Fi based broadband wireless access networks, announced that its 5.8GHz MicroMAX base stations have been deployed by BigAir Group Limited, an Australian wireless broadband service provider, for the first commercial WiMAX services in Sydney and Melbourne.
