T-Mobile offers free Wi-Fi to Floridians

Sep 3, 2004 12:00 PM

T-Mobile said it would offer free Wi-Fi hotspot service at many of its 300 locations in the state of Florida through Sept. 6, in anticipation of Hurricane Frances, which has forced 2.5 million residents to evacuate their homes and businesses and which is expected to make landfall on Sept. 4. The free Wi-Fi service will be available to those displaced by the storm at Borders Books and Music, FedEx Kinko’s and Starbucks Coffee locations that haven’t been closed.
