Jan 20, 2006 12:35 PM

The WiMAX Forum—a consortium of wireless broadband vendors and operators working to promote industrywide acceptance of the IEEE 802.16-2004 and ETSI HiperMAN standards—announced this week that it has designated several products as meeting the forum-defined certification profile established for 3.5 GHz systems. The products are Aptero Networks’ PacketMAX 5000 base station, Redline Communications’ RedMAX AN-100U base station, Sequans Communications’ SQN2010 system-on-chip base station solution and Wavesat’s miniMAX customer premise equipment solution.
