U.S. agency recommends radio interoperability vendors under the ICTAP initiative

Aegis Assessments’ SafetyNet RadioBridge, a portable wireless device that provides radio interoperability at an emergency site, will be included in the Department of Homeland Security's Interoperable Communications Technical Assistance Program (ICTAP).

ICTAP educates public-safety personnel and first responders about products that provide radio interoperability solutions. The ICTAP program’s goal is to enable local public-safety agencies to communicate as they prevent or respond to a weapons of mass destruction (WMD) attack, according to ICTAP officials.

NATO deploys bidirectional communication protocol to trace supply chain

Syscan International’s iCE (Intelligent Communication Enabled) network technology will be deployed under the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO) Item Unique Identification (IUID) and Asset Visibility Technology and Conformance Test.

Syscan will design, produce and supply its iCE to track and trace mission-critical NATO supply chain materials. iCE is a low-power dynamic wireless communication network based on an energy-efficient, bidirectional communications protocol that employs transmission windows to reduce power consumed by tag batteries.
