Eventide, Genesis Group partner on digital trunked logging solutions

Aug 24, 2005 12:10 PM

DENVER--Eventide and Genesis Group announced a partnership agreement to integrate Genesis’ trunked radio applications with Eventide’s Linux-based digital voice recorders. The joint effort will let Motorola SmartNet, Smartzone, Astro, Omnilink and Dimetra trunk system owners record, retrieve and report on trunked radio conversations and related data using Eventide’s VR778, VR615 and VR725 digital loggers, the companies said in a press release.

Gordon Moore, general manager of Eventide’s communications systems division, said the partnership would make the company more competitive. “This puts us in direct competition with some of the bigger players like Nice,” Moore said. “It will allow us to compete on a more equal basis.”
