Intermec suspends licensing policy to boost RFID

Intermec Technologies Corp. has suspended its RAND (reasonable and non-discriminatory) licensing program for the EPCglobal Generation 2 RFID (radio frequency identification) standard for 60 days. The action clears the way for technology providers to submit UHF Generation 2 prototype chips, tags and readers to EPCglobal for testing and validation purposes.
