Nextel CEO Timothy Donahue received $26.3 million in total compensation during 2003, a figure that was nine times more than the compensation he received the previous year, according to a filing Nextel made with the SEC yesterday.

Donahue was paid $17.9 million in restricted stock—-something he did not receive in 2002—-with the remaining $8.4 million being attributed to salary, bonus and a long-term incentive package.
