Nova Engineering

announced the latest addition to its mobile router product line, the NovaRoam EH900, a long-range wireless IP router that incorporates mobile ad hoc networking technology. Such allows each NovaRoam to establish “intelligent communication links” with neighboring NovaRoams, even while in motion, the company said. In addition, NovaRoam routers have a range of more than 25 miles, the company said. Security features include a proprietary frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) radio signal that is inherently difficult to intercept or jam, the company said. In addition, IP and MAC address filtering coupled with a password-protected login prevent unauthorized access to secure NovaRoam networks. Finally, the NovaRoam EH900's 128 bit AES-type encryption safeguards mission-critical data from being compromised, the company said.
