The Southeast Asia nation of Brunei Darussalam, located on the north coast of Borneo on the South China Sea, has deployed a TETRA (terrestrial trunked radio) system manufactured by Nokia, the country’s first such deployment. The system consists of Nokia's DXTip digital switching platform, TETRA base stations and terminals, and the company's Dispatcher Solution for control rooms. The system’s highly secure nature made it attractive to the country’s Ministry of Defense, Nokia said.
