FirstNet engineers are charged with designing a public-safety-grade broadband network for first responders. FirstNet board member Jeff Johnson talks with Urgent Communications' Donny Jackson, detailing some of the efforts that engineers have taken to better understand the needs of first responders, including a visit to New York in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and recent participation in a 30-hour firefighting training course.
