Glenn Bischoff, editor-in-chief of Urgent Communications, chatted with NYPD Deputy Chief Charles Dowd last week at APCO's conference in Minneapolis, about Dowd's appointment to the FirstNet board of directors. FirstNet is the entity within the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) that will oversee the buildout of public safety's nationwide broadband network.
