PSST releases revised bidder information

Nov 30, 2007 1:36 PM, - MRT

The Public Safety Spectrum Trust (PSST)—the national public-safety licensee for 10 MHz of broadband spectrum in the 700 MHz band—today released a scheduled revision of its bidders information document that is designed to provide commercial bidders insight to public safety’s expectations from a potential partnership.

From a technical perspective, the only change to the document is an increase in the minimum data throughput for telemetry applications to at least 70 MB/s. Most of the changes in the document address details regarding the relationship between the PSST and the commercial operator in the areas of offering priority service to public-safety users and in determining the rates public-safety users would pay.

Copies of the document are available at www.psst.org.
