TA releases channel-clearing request form

Nov 30, 2007 1:38 PM, - MRT

The 800 MHz Transition Administrator (TA) today released guidance establishing a process for 800 MHz NPSPAC licensees to request access to their new frequencies.

Under FCC rules approved in September, Sprint Nextel is required to clear spectrum within 60 days of a request from a NPSPAC licensee submitted after Jan. 1, 2008. The form is not needed if the licensees has provided clearing dates to the TA previously as part of a rebanding agreement, in a written communication with the TA or during an implementation planning session.

Copies of the channel-clearing request form are available at www.800ta.org.
