FCC moves Katrina-focused meeting to Atlanta

Sep 14, 2005 11:13 AM

The FCC today announced that it will conduct its scheduled meeting tomorrow at BellSouth’s offices in Atlanta instead of Washington.

An itemized agenda for the meeting has not been released, but the focus will be on the role of communications in recovery efforts necessitated by damage caused by Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast region. The change in venue was made “for the convenience of those testifying,” according to an FCC release.

In addition to the venue change, the time of the meeting has been changed to 11 a.m. EST.
