FCC certifies 4.9 GHz radio

YDI Wireless announced that its Marquee 4.9 radio system has been certified by the FCC as meeting the commission’s Part 90 criteria for operating in the 4.9 GHz band set aside for public-safety communications. The system offers data rates as high as 20 Mb/s and comes equipped with a variety of antennas that allow it to be tailored for specific applications, ranging from hot spots to metro-area coverage, the company said.
