SDR Forum officially launches special interest group

Mar 31, 2004 12:00 PM

The Software Defined Radio Forum made official at IWCE 2004 what MRT had first reported in February: that it has launched a special interest group targeted to the public-safety sector. The SIG will create opportunities for vendors and public-safety organizations around the world to become more involved in the development of software-defined radio technologies, according to SDR Forum chief operating officer Allan Margulies. One of the first initiatives will be a public-safety symposium that will be held in April during the SDR Forum’s general meeting in Mainz, Germany.
