Expanded test solution for P25 radios

Aeroflex has upgraded its IFR 2975 radio test set with Release 1.9.1 software, which enables testing of the PassPort protocol. With the release, Aeroflex becomes the first company to support complete testing of PassPort radio systems, the company said.

In addition, Aeroflex added the following user options with this release: P25 explicit messaging, P25 secondary control channel broadcast (SCCB) messaging, P25 adjacent status broadcast messages, and P25 unit-to-unit/PSTN interconnect. Release 1.9.1--which can be downloaded free at www.P25.com--also includes a new audio tracking generator for sweeping audio circuits, improved LTR trunking features, and new oscilloscope and audio analyzer markers.
