Report: RFID hospital market to hit $8.8 billion by 2010

Dublin, Ireland-based Research and Markets issued a report this week that predicted the hospital market for radio frequency identification technologies would grow to $8.8 billion by 2010.

The firm said revenue would be segmented in three categories: · Hardware and software integration—$1.3 billion · Wireless network infrastructure—$1.3 billion · Enterprise-related software—$1.4 billion · Hospital connectivity—$4.8 billion.
