York County, Maine, public-safety officials said someone is deliberately jamming emergency radio frequencies, putting firefighters at risk, the Associated Press reported. Eight incidents have occurred over the past two months, according to the county. In one, a Waterboro, Maine fire chief was unable to contact firefighters who were battling a blaze inside a burning mobile home. The interference has occurred on the primary fire frequency used by 16 fire departments in the county, the AP said. The FCC reportedly is investigating the incidents.
