Latest NetMotion Diagnostics release enables enhanced reporting on connectivity issues, support for iOS, Android
This advancement has had the desired result with beta customers, Knopf said.
“The response that we’ve gotten back from our customers—particularly our larger customers, like airlines and utilities that have numerous systems and are very concerned about real-time information—is just overwhelming and fantastic,” Knopf said. “They are thrilled.”
NetMotion Diagnostics 3.10 works with any Big Data product, but NetMotion Wireless has developed a toolkit of special reports that can be used with Splunk, Knopf said.
“We like Splunk—we’re actually partnered with Splunk from a marketing standpoint and are participating in a number of their events,” he said. “But you can do the same thing with ElasticSearch and Kiwi. We aren’t priming the pump with reports for those products, but they can be used, along with a lot of other things.”
In terms of data sets, NetMotion Diagnostics 3.10 is identical to NetMotion Diagnostics 3.0, Knopf said. However, the 3.10 version can be used on platforms other than Windows, he said.
“The second key difference is that we released updated agents for iOS and Android to do the diagnostic capabilities,” Knopf said. “They were introduced in 3.0 for Windows; we’ve now added iOS and Android support, so we’ve really got product coverage across all the major platforms now.”
NetMotion Diagnostics 3.10 is available immediately, Knopf said.
