Pepro to showcase shielded outdoor networking cabinets
Pepro’s ability to offer the cabinet portfolio at a lower price than its existing products is attributable primarily to more automated manufacturing—previously, welding for Pepro products was done manually, Lander said.
At IWCE, Pepro will showcase three configurations of the new cabinet portfolio: one 54-inch bay, which will accommodate 27 rack units; two 54-inch bays, which will accommodate 54 rack units; and an 81-inch bay, which will accommodate 42 rack units, according to Lander.
For hardened sites requiring significant battery backup, an operator like FirstNet will need more than one 54-inch bay, Lander said.
“For most of the LTE equipment, one bay is sufficient,” she said. “But, in order to have that required backup power, another bay would be required to accommodate the batteries. And, if they’re co-located with another agency, there may be additional equipment. It depends on who will be utilizing the site and what types of equipment they will be providing.”
Pepro will showcase the new networking cabinet portfolio at Booth 9037 in the IWCE exhibit hall.
