Black & Veatch to rebrand RCC Consultants business
Nicole Grant, marketing manager for telecommunications, echoed this sentiment, noting that Black & Veatch’s core commercial-wireless expertise is even more attractive to public-safety customers during this era, when first-responder agencies are considering the best ways to implement and integrate LTE into their systems.
“We’ve built out thousands and thousands of LTE sites and networks, doing everything from the site acquisition to the RF-engineering design and all through to going on air,” Grant said during an interview with IWCE’s Urgent Communications. “That’s especially relevant with FirstNet.
“An unparalleled solution that we provide public safety is our LTE experience. And, given the success of RCC’s history of public-safety [communications], it’s really resonated with our clients the value that we bring to the industry.”
Krafft said is confident that Black & Veatch can be successful in the public-safety-communications consulting arena.
“As this business grows and we execute work, I am getting a better feel and a sense of things,” Krafft said. “I still remain terribly optimistic for the market. Now that we're stabilized and getting internal systems turned on, I really think we can go from a reactive mode to a proactive mode and reclaim territory that RCC had been shrinking market share in.
“I'm terribly optimistic for 2016 but even more so for 2017 and beyond.”
