Motorola’s Commercial, Government & Industrial Solutions Sector said fire departments in Orland Park, Ill., and Brook Park, Ohio, have deployed its Fireground mobile communications system, which enables incident commanders to identify first responders at the scene and electronically track their locations and monitor their work assignments. One feature the fire departments found appealing was the system’s ability to transmit evacuation and distress signals.
