Phazar intros antennas for public-safety systems
Phazar Antenna has introduced a high-gain omnidirectional antenna for municipal areas or wide area network (WAN)-deployment of point-to-multipoint public-safety band systems (4940 MHz to 4990 MHz).
The antenna offers a 10 dBi gain and measures 24 inches tall and 0.75 inches in diameter. It weighs 1 lb. for easy handling during site installation, the company said. A U-Bolt bracket mount maintains the antenna position while the antenna is being attached to poles.
Also introduced was a directional antenna for point-to-point wireless links. The waveguide antenna offers 40-degree horizontal and vertical beamwidths with a 12 dBi gain covering the 4.940 GHz to 4.990 GHz public-safety band. The antenna weighs just one-half pound, can be mounted on buildings or pole-mount sites, and can be deployed to provide temporary, emergency or backup communications, or to provide permanent links between facilities, the company said
