Raytheon JPS appoints new president

Raytheon JPS Communications named Carl Kist its new president effective August 1, 2005. Kist currently is chief financial officer for Raytheon Vision Systems and Precision Technologies & Components in Goleta, Calif., and has been with Raytheon/Texas Instruments for more than 20 years.

He also served as a combat arms officer in the U.S. Army and continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves, currently commanding a joint service detachment. Kist holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., and a master’s degree in corporate finance from the University of Dallas.
