The National Public Safety Telecommunications Council has requested comments on the common interoperability radio channel-naming scheme developed by the FCC’s Public Safety National Coordinating Committee. The public-safety community can submit alternate recommendations to the current rules during the council’s “Public Forum on Standard Radio Channel Naming (Common Nomenclature) Standard for Public-Safety Voice Interoperability Channels” held in Orlando, Fla., on Feb. 5, 2007.
