Wireless modem developer Electronic Systems Technology unveiled the Esteem 195Ep wireless modem designed for the 4.9 GHz licensed public-safety band. The modem is contained in a rugged, pole-mounted case and offers an RF peak output power level of up to 2 W for data rates of up to 54 Mb/s for a range of 7 miles.
The company also launched the Esteem 195Es, a 900 MHz spread-spectrum modem for long-range applications requiring a serial or Ethernet interface. The pole-mountable modem promises an RF output power level of 1 W for data rates of up to 200 Kb/s for a range of 10 miles.
