Los Gatos, Calif.-based Azurecomm announced that trials of its AzureMAX-2500 single-sector, 802.16e mobile WiMAX base station will begin in late 2007. The base station operates from 2.3 to 2.7 GHz and is software-defined. It contains an integrated, single-sector antenna and data throughputs of 35 Mb/s, according to the company.
