ECaTS enhances picture of 911 landscape
From TMC Net: Solutions from Direct Technology offers ECaTS products and services that enable 911 and public-safety providers to leverage the Internet to capture real-time statistics from any PSAP in their jurisdiction. With the use of an Internet browser and ECaTS, these agencies can produce standard reports and fully customizable reports for both call detail records and trunk usage.
This universal reporting product is completely vendor independent, allowing the organization to seamlessly report county, state or PSAP call statistics from one Web-based location. The solution currently supports Plant Equipment, CML, Positron, Nortel Meridian, Motorola, TCI, Xtend, 911 Inc and a number of others.ECaTS enables the organization or agency to answer legislative requests for the state, county or Jurisdiction. The solution will gather statistics from all PSAPs to integrate the information into one report.
The ECaTS solution can replace existing reporting software and will also provide unique Telco statistics, including speed of answer and volume analysis. ECaTS also enables regional and county managers to analyze and compare one or multiple PSAPs and perform trend analysis for budget planning. The solution can also be used to follow the life of an e-911 call as it transfers from one PSAP to another.
This will help managers to better understand traffic flows into and out of their jurisdiction and ensure PSAPs are complying with the 90/10 rule.
