APCO forms broadband committee
The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) has formed a broadband committee to review public- safety broadband applications currently in use and make recommendations for future mobile data and mission-critical voice capabilities.
Sitting on the committee are Chair Bill Schrier, city of Seattle CIO, and Vice Chair Andy Seybold, CEO and Principal Analyst of Andrew Seybold Inc.
Schrier was inducted in May of 2010 as the first fellow of the Public Safety Foundation of America (PSFA) for his thought leadership, dedication to public service and contributions to public safety through technology innovation.
Seybold is a respected and influential analyst. For more than 25 years, he has served the industry and shaped initiatives for world leaders of the wireless industry, including Verizon, Nokia, AT&T, Motorola, and Qualcomm.
