Survey Technologies’ Field Test measures in-building coverage
The STI Field Test 6 indoor testing option from Survey Technologies Inc. (STI) supports indoor coverage surveys using a scanning receiver, a compatible spectrum analyzer, or a digital radio test set. Because GPS positioning is not available in buildings, the STI system imports the building’s floor plan to reference measurement locations. STI Field Test 6 then automates RF measurements while standing at these locations or traveling between points referenced on the floor diagram. Once measurements are done, STI Field Test 6 program creates reports of the building’s RF coverage. STI Field Test 6 also automates drive-test coverage measurements, allowing the data from these projects and indoor projects to be analyzed side by side.
