Learn about communications during the Pope’s visit, how states are meeting FirstNet’s data-collection deadline during webinar
By Stacey Orlick, IWCE's event and content director
During next Wednesday’s eBriefing webinar, “Everything FirstNet, from Early Builders to State Consultations to RFP,” hear from two states that are working to delivery FirstNet’s data-collection information on Sept. 30 while they are coordinating security and communications associated with the travels of Pope Francis this week. This is one of the first operational deployments of a FirstNet-approved Band 14 communications network for a major event.
Major Diane Stackhouse, director of Pennsylvania’s Bureau of Communications and Information Services, and Captain William M. Williams, director of the state’s radio and information service division, will provide an update about the state’s FirstNet data-collection efforts, as well as the initiatives that the Pennsylvania state police have implemented to coordinate communications while the Pope visits Philadelphia.
In addition, Fred Scalera—the public-safety broadband manager from New Jersey’s Office of Homeland Security & Preparedness—will detail the usage of state’s new deployable public-safety LTE network. Victoria Lee, telecommunications policy analyst for FirstNet, will inform listeners about FirstNet’s latest developments and the FirstNet Board meetings that will be conducted next Thursday and Friday.
There’s a lot to discuss, so please join us at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, for this informative webinar, which will be sponsored by InfoVista. Click here to register for free today!
