Colorado’s recent FCC filing
Colorado’s recent FCC filing was an attempt to ensure that all carriers have a level playing field in the provision of interoperability. After all there is no requirement to adopt the A.T.T/ FirstNet solution, however there is plenty of political leverage being exerted by A.T.T. and FirstNet. FirstNet and A.T.T will try every trick in the in the book to force adoption. FirstNet bought a monopoly of a one carrier service, which was not in the best interest for public safety.
A term limited Colorado Governor that has not hidden the desire to stay in politics may not be as objective in supporting public safety choices and options; as entertaining future support from a deep pocket carrier.
A.T.T needs to win the public safety business by providing more than empty promises and political power plays. Lobbyist don’t give a damn about public safety, nor does term limited politicians.
