ITEC: Walt Magnussen talks about Winter Institute … in the spring

Walt Magnussen, director of the Texas A&M University Internet2 Technology Evaluation Center (ITEC), outlines some of the cutting-edge communications tests of data interoperability and the interface between FirstNet and a next-generation 911 (NG911) system during the upcoming Winter Institute. The Winter Institute, which will be conducted March 25-29 in College Station, Texas, was rescheduled after many key participants were deployed to Florida to assist in the recovery effort in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael last year.
