ITSL: Andrew White outlines purpose, training for new tech role within incident command

Andrew White, an Information Technology Service Unit Leader (ITSL) instructor, explains the reasoning behind the creation of the ITSL, a position within the Incident Command System (ICS) that is designed to oversee the deployment of technology solutions utilized during an incident outside of traditional land-mobile-radio (LMR) communications, White also identifies potential ITSL candidates and discusses initial training opportunities. White spoke with IWCE’s Urgent Communications Editor Donny Jackson during the Winter Institute hosted this week by the Texas A&M University Internet2 Technology Evaluation Center (ITEC).
