Smart-city technology project reaches 100-city milestone
Rubicon, a developer of smart waste and recycling solutions for smart cities, has reached a new milestone. The company’s smart city technology has now been deployed in more than 100 cities.
The milestone was achieved in six years and includes the cities of Houston, Miami, Atlanta and Denver, all of which were added at the beginning of this year.
Rubicon’s smart city technology is designed to streamline and optimize operations within a city, including its waste and recycling system, as well as the safety of its road – monitoring vehicle health and working to improve driver behavior. By optimizing these elements of city life, the company also says it helps improve sustainability and energy efficiency within a city.
