Red Grasso, director the FirstTech program for the state of North Carolina, outlines a DHS-funded initiative to work with a PBS station to develop a powerful new paging system that would leverage NextGen Broadcast technology. With the new technology, coverage would be greater than with existing paging technology, devices could be "awakened" when alerts are available, and there is a potential roadmap to deliver multimedia assets over the system.

Streamwide CEO Pascal Beglin and El Mehdi Sodki, Streamwide's director of sales for North America, showcase the company's platform, which supports broadband push-to-talk communications and a host of applications.
