A biomedical robotics startup has introduced what it claims could be the world’s first robotic head transplant system.
The startup, BrainBridge, said the procedure could offer patients suffering from terminal illnesses a new chance of life by transplanting their heads onto healthy donor bodies.
Robots would carry out the procedure and use AI and molecular-level imaging to ensure precise reconnection of vital nerves.
The project is being led by Dubai-based scientist Hashem Al-Ghaili who shared a CGI video of the head transplant concept on social media.
