Zetron announced that its DCS-5020 digital console system now includes an interface to Motorola’s MOTOTRBO digital mobile radio solution.

The new interface allows the DCS-5020 digital console system to be connected wirelessly to the MOTOTRBO radio network through a MOTOTRBO mobile radio. This provides a quick, cost-effective way to deploy a radio dispatch console system on an existing network; allows the system to be used at a fixed location or as a mobile-command facility; and does not require costly infrastructure connectivity.

Features enabled by the new interface include:

  • Call ID decode and alias display

  • Private and group calls

  • Emergency calls

  • Call alert

  • Channel scanning

  • Text messaging

  • Channel select

  • Radio check

  • Radio stun and revive.
