The International Wireless Communications Expo comes around but once a year, so it’s important to get the most out of it while it’s here. This year the conference presents seminars and programs on issues including the status of channels 60-69 and how to survive and win the auction process. The Public Safety Track is expanded this year to include the latest information on interoperability, TETRA and 700MHz. The North American TETRA Forum (NATF) will be hosting a seminar on the advantages of adopting TETRA in North America. The seminar will include presentations by manufacturers and users of TETRA. Wednesday, March 28

As the chair of the Public Safety National Coordination Committee, a federal advisory committee chartered by the FCC, Kathleen Wallman will focus in her keynote address on the work of the NCC and its efforts to develop standards to support interoperability in the new public safety spectrum in the 700MHz band. Wallman will address what the NCC is doing to ensure that public safety responders no longer have to ask, “Why can’t we talk to one another?” - RCA Breakfast Meeting
