The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau today will begin sending e-mail notices to public-safety organizations whose licenses are due to expire. The notices will be sent at the following intervals: 90 days, 60 days, 30 days and 10 days prior to the license-expiration date, based on the availability of the license holder’s e-mail address. The FCC will continue its current practice of sending letter notifications prior to the scheduled license expiration. License holders for which the FCC did not receive a renewal application will receive a telephone notification between one and nine days prior to the scheduled expiration date.
