RELM announced that it has completed operational and validation testing of the cryptographic module for its RELM BK DPHx Project 25-compliant digital portable radio. The company said it has submitted the test results to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for official validation.
RELM President and CEO Dave Storey said the radio’s encryption capability is built into the radio’s functionality and memory, rather than achieved via an add-on circuit board.
