TA announces new planning-funding resources for 800 MHz rebanding
The Transition Administrator (TA) yesterday announced the release of four documents designed to provide guidance to 800 MHz licensees that want to submit a request for planning funding (RFPF) to secure upfront money from Sprint Nextel in the rebanding process.
Available to licensees online at www.800TA.org, the new RFPF package includes detailed instructions for seeking planning funding, a template for licensees to use, and two sample completed applications—one for small systems and another for a large/medium systems.
“By following the guidance and examples provided, licensees should have the tools necessary to complete the RFPF Template quickly and easily and be comfortable with the level of detail necessary to satisfy the process,” Brett Haan, the TA’s deputy program manager, said in a prepared statement.
Licensees that already have submitted RFPFs are not required to resubmit their requests. Questions should be directed to the TA Contact Center at 888-800-8220 or [email protected].
