The Philadelphia Police Department, the fourth-largest U.S. metropolitan police force, will replace its legacy public-safety answering point infrastructure with a system developed by NICE Systems. Terms of the deal were not announced.
One key selling point for the system was NICE’s scenario replay software, which lets users reconstruct both radio and telephone conversations, according to Sgt. Greg Masi, technical supervisor for the department’s communications division.
