Pittsburgh-based Carnegie Mellon University researchers have developed a Telepresence Robot Kit that lets users build a robot capable of wirelessly connecting to the Internet. The robot can hold cameras or infrared sensors and be controlled and monitored from any Internet-connected computer worldwide, according to the university.
